Who We Are
St. Jude’s Youth Ministry is a fun and creative program designed to enrich the lives of teenagers currently in the 7th – 12th, grade through spiritual, social, and service opportunities both on and off the parish grounds.
St. Jude’s Own Youth (JOY) is the youth wing of our mission. This youth fellowship is designed to provide a wholesome Christian atmosphere to enrich the youth life through fun, praise, and worship. It provides a platform for the youth members to make friends and work together as a team to plan and carry out our mission’s goals and make a difference in others life through outreach projects. It provides support to grow in the Catholic faith and understand the history, tradition, culture, and values on which our foundation was built on.
The youth group meets after the holy mass on the second Sunday of every month. We incorporate prayer, service and planning activities in each meeting. It is a nice opportunity to pray, network and serve.
What We Do
The Youth Group (JOY) combines Service, Prayer & Spiritual Growth, and Fellowship. The Youth Group members volunteer for different activities in our parish and are involved by offering time and talent to God in a meaningful way.
We also contribute by lecturing, ushering, greeting and leading the choir in our monthly “Youth Mass” which takes place on the second Sunday of every month.
We also help in conducting JOY group retreat for the kids in our parish.
We look forward to your joining us. Come and bring a friend. For more details, Please contact our youth coordinators for more information. We will be happy to put you on our e-mail group list. We are always looking for new ideas. If you are interested in an activity but do not see it on our calendar, please let us know and we will look into it!
Parents, we welcome your help and support. Please encourage your children’s to participate in JOY.
